La Kiva - a bold nordic brand that wants to reshape the idea of Scandinavian desing

La Kiva, a Finnish accessory brand known for its hand-painted earrings and bags, set out to redefine what Scandinavian design could be. Departing from the minimalist norms of its heritage, La Kiva wanted to embrace a "more is more" approach—vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and a bold, expressive personality. The goal was to create a visual identity that reflected the brand’s rebellious spirit, blending the cool, urban edge of modern Scandinavia with an unapologetically bold, artistic flair.

As Art Director, my role was to craft this new identity—one that celebrated creativity, broke traditional design rules, and embodied La Kiva’s "wild child" persona. Team: art direction by me, assistant web design by Rosa De Los Herros, web developement by Marc Permanyer, photography Niina Töyrylä (editorial), Linus Lohoff (still-life).
